1. Los Angeles Lakers at Milwaukee Bucks, January 21

Three days after their showdown with the Nets, the Bucks will head home to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in what is undoubtedly the most exciting game on the first half of their schedule. In the two games that these teams squared off in last season, they were both thrilling matchups for the conference’s top seeds.

Last season’s MVP storyline followed these two closely, with Antetokounmpo having eventually taken home the award over James in a landslide victory. While that will undoubtedly be a headline leading up to this game, Giannis recently praised LeBron as the clear best player in the world, thanks to the translation from Aris Barkas of Eurohoops:

"“LeBron is, of course, a great opponent and I want to beat him and he is the best player in the world right now. It doesn’t matter who is the MVP, he is the best. I say so, he is the best in the world.”"

As humble as he is, Antetokounmpo also mentioned that he wants to beat his childhood idol, and it will be a heavyweight fight. The reigning two-time MVP versus the reigning Finals MVP is a desirable matchup on its own, but with both of these teams having reshaped their rosters this offseason, this game is star-studded from top to bottom.
