Small forward No. 4 – Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Thanasis Antetokounmpo spent most of his 2019-20 season as a spectator for the Bucks, having appeared in just 20 games for an average of 6.5 minutes per contest. He logged double-digit minutes in just four of those games, and they were, unsurprisingly, his best performances of the season.

The potential is certainly there for Thanasis Antetokounmpo, but he will need to expand his game offensively to crack this revamped small forward rotation. Across his 129 total minutes this season, the swingman averaged 2.8 points on a .500/.000/.412 slash line, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. While he did not stuff the stat sheet, the 28-year-old showcased his talents when given the opportunity with the occasional highlight-reel worthy block or emphatic slam dunk.

However, his aforementioned limited arsenal on the offensive end kept him sidelined for a large portion of the season, where he served as a vocal presence on the team’s bench. Whether he is on the sidelines or in the game, Thanasis brings an immeasurable amount of energy, and that has undoubtedly helped him become a fan favorite in Milwaukee relatively quickly.

Thanasis will likely see limited action again this coming season, but he is a viable piece to their depth at the position.
