Milwaukee Bucks: 3 ways Jordan Nwora can crack rotation this season
By Dalton Sell
No. 2 goal – Maintain 3-point excellence
It is no secret that Nwora brings a lethal dose of 3-point shooting to the table, as that was why the Bucks selected him. The Bucks were in the hunt for shooting this offseason, and Nwora undoubtedly fit the bill at 45th overall in this year’s draft.
The former Cardinal was deemed one of the most prolific shooters from distance in this year’s class, and it was clear to see why. In his final two seasons at Louisville, Nwora proved to be a lights out shooter from behind the arc, having connected on 38.7 percent of his 6.1 attempts per game.
Diving deeper, Nwora ranked in the 94th percentile of all NCAA players in catch-and-shoot situations last season, per Synergy Sports. Although his 3-point shooting is hit or miss in other aspects such as off the dribble, Nwora’s overall sharpshooting capabilities make him a desirable fit as a member of Milwaukee’s supporting cast.
The question at hand is whether Nwora can translate that shooting success he had at the collegiate level to an NBA roster. The rookie surely possesses the capabilities, and as he told the media, Nwora knows that the Bucks are going to rely on him to space the floor and knock down shots when he gets the call off the bench. If he can do just that consistently, Nwora could unquestionably find himself as a regular in the Bucks’ rotation.
