Milwaukee Bucks: Looking at their 3 best NBA Christmas Day moments
When the Milwaukee Bucks earned their first win on Christmas Day
The third time proved to be the charm for when the Bucks finally took home their first win when playing on Christmas Day.
After falling to the Pistons in their first two Christmas Day games, the Bucks traveled to Kansas City to take on the Kansas City-Omaha Kings on December 25, 1972. Entering the day with a 25-9 record, the Bucks faced quite a challenge in slowing down Kings star guard, Nate ‘Tiny’ Archibald.
It was a challenge that they would prevail in doing as they ultimately secured a 104-99 victory, all of which was led by Abdul-Jabbar’s 32 points on 14-of-20 shooting and 13 rebounds.
But the Bucks’ contributions went beyond Abdul-Jabbar as their ‘Big 3″ of Abdul-Jabbar, Bob Dandridge and Oscar Robertson combined for 69 of the team’s 104 total points. And both Lucius Allen and Terry Driscoll pitched in with 12 and 10 points off the bench, respectively.
Finally off their personal Christmas slump, the Bucks later enjoyed beating the Kansas City-Omaha Kings on Christmas Day in 1977.
