3 players already on Mike Budenholzer’s good side – Jrue Holiday

Considering that massive haul of assets that the Milwaukee Bucks up to acquire Jrue Holiday, Budenholzer did not really have a choice to put him on his good side. Holiday is someone that the Bucks saw in high regard this offseason, and it is clear to see why as he has been fantastic to start the season.

From the moment he set foot in Milwaukee, Holiday set the tone for this team and has backed it up on the court to this point. Throughout seven games, Holiday has averaged 14.8 points while shooting 50 percent from the floor, including 39.5 percent from deep, in addition to 5.4 assists per contest.

Along with his stellar offensive production, the guard has also turned up the dial defensively, having averaged 1.9 steals in the same timeframe. Along with the stellar two-way play he has given the Milwaukee Bucks at the point guard position, he has also installed some much-needed confidence in this team. Budenholzer made sure to point out the immediate impact that Holiday has had on this team early in the season, stating:

"“He’s so talented, and he’s so skilled. I think some of the passes he makes, the vision, the finishing, the left hand, its pretty unique. It’s pretty special. We’re still learning Jrue, and it’s probably the same for him with us, so we feel like he’s just going to get better, and we’ll get better around him, but he’s a very talented player.”"

Holiday is currently the only players on the roster logging 30 or more minutes per game this season, the other two being Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.
