No. 1 – Jazz torched the Bucks from distance for 48 minutes

It seems that whenever teams are playing against the Bucks, they shatter a franchise record for most 3-pointers made in a game. This can certainly be attributed to Mike Budenholzer’s drop-back defensive scheme that welcomes an onslaught of triples from opponents, and the Jazz took full advantage.

The Jazz shot 25-of-53 from behind the arc, which, as you guessed, is a new franchise record. It was heart-wrenching to watch Milwaukee chip away at Utah’s lead, only for the Jazz to connect on a 3-pointer to erase any momentum the Bucks had been conjuring to make a run. Royce O’Neale led the Jazz with six triples, but Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson were right behind him with five apiece as they got every look that they wanted to drop.

It is performances like these from opponents that sting the most because defending the 3-pointer has been a fatal flaw for the Bucks over the two seasons. While one horrendous game should not cause mass panic, Utah’s latest franchise record set will undoubtedly leave a sour taste in the Bucks’ mouth for the foreseeable future.

Thankfully, they will have little time to let it sink in as they have an opportunity to get back on track with a Central Division matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday night, and you can catch the action on Fox Sports Wisconsin.
