No. 1 – Donte DiVincenzo

Donte DiVincenzo entered the season more motivated than ever, following his pitiful performance in the NBA bubble and a failed trade that would have sent him elsewhere. The third-year guard has come out rejuvenated in 10 games, playing undoubtedly the best basketball of his young career.

Now in the starting lineup, DiVincenzo showed significant improvement offensively, scoring in double-figures in six games to open the season. He slipped up and struggled in the last few games offensively but still made his presence felt as a facilitator, which has also looked much better. Donte is showing his capabilities as a passer with an assortment of highlight-reel worthy passes nightly as he continues developing his playmaking skills.

To this point, DiVincenzo is averaging a career-best 11.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals across 24.8 minutes per game. He’s playing with immeasurable confidence, showcasing that he has the ability to score at will and pose a threat on the defensive end along with it.

Where he has been the most impressive, however, is from behind the arc. DiVincenzo is shooting an astounding 47.1 percent from deep. While it is a small sample size, it is welcoming to see him improve one of his most prominent weaknesses.

Despite being the second-youngest player on Milwaukee’s roster, DiVincenzo has proven to be a key contributor on a team competing at the forefront of a championship. His success will be crucial for the Bucks as the season progresses, and if he can sustain this hot start, they will be in good hands.
