No. 1 – The Milwaukee Bucks’ chemistry and roster construction

Heading into this season, it was apparent that, on paper, this was the most talented roster the Bucks had put together in a long time.

The Bucks’ front office went all-in this offseason to improve the team, and it was expected that the team would go through their share of growing pains early because of the overhaul. That has certainly been the case 10 games into the new season as the team continues trying to form chemistry with a collection of fresh faces. Chemistry is not something that forms overnight, and the Bucks are going through the early stages of that process.

The biggest piece of the puzzle that remains is Holiday, who has had his share of ups and downs in 10 games with the franchise to this point.

Holiday is among the best two-way players in the association, and he will play a pivotal role in any success the Bucks see down the road this season. The Bucks knew that Holiday could be a game-changer when they dished out a king’s ransom to acquire him through a trade this offseason, and he has shown potential as he continues to mesh with his new teammates.

While Holiday is still processing the chemistry with his teammates, two players that have already developed a strong connection are Bryn Forbes and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Forbes’ sharpshooting capabilities have made him an ideal fit next to the Greek Freak, and the two have seen plenty of minutes on the court together this season.

Patience is the operative word here, as only time can build chemistry for a newly reconstructed roster. Still, there is a hefty amount of talent on this roster from top to bottom, and that could make the Milwaukee Bucks a formidable opponent down the road if they can all come together.
