Grading Jordan Nwora’s growing stint with the Milwaukee Bucks

Like Merrill, Jordan Nwora has yet to crack the Bucks’ rotation for any extended length of time. But of the two Bucks rookies, Nwora has had more of a shot to see the floor as he has 71 total minutes on the season.

Over his limited minutes, Nwora has shown his lightning quick release and he certainly hasn’t been bashful by any means as he’s attempted 32 total shots in his brief minutes.

It’s been in those opportunities where Nwora has packed a punch shooting the ball from three as he’s 7-for-14 from that range on the season. Along with that, Nwora ranks in the 99th percentile of spot up shooters around the league as he’s scoring 1.9 points per spot up possession.

With the level of shooting at the size he provides, Nwora’s ability to hold up defensively will be key to seeing any consistent minutes under Budenholzer. He’s shown himself to be a heady defender, but his mobility concerns may make him better suited to play up in the frontcourt rather than on the wing long-term.

In any event, Nwora is still waiting for his time to come. But it’s clear that the shooting he brings to the table has been everything the Bucks saw when they drafted him with the 45th overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft.
