Milwaukee Bucks: Grading the starters after one month – Khris Middleton

Khris Middleton had an all-around career-year in 2019-20, and he has been putting those numbers to shame early this season. The two-time All-Star continues proving that he is one of the elite three-level scorers in the game today, averaging 21.8 points on .522/.426/.920 shooting splits.

Middleton’s efficiency in scoring the basketball has been off the charts, but he is also showing that he can do more with it than just score. Currently averaging a team-high 5.8 assists per game, not only is Khris living up to his reputation as a lethal scorer, but he is also looking to get his teammates involved more often. Those playmaking numbers are also career-bests, only furthering how well Middleton has been playing this season.

However, All-Star numbers in the regular season do not matter in the postseason, as Middleton and the Bucks have seen over the past two seasons. Middleton has received his share of criticism for his postseason struggles, and he is looking to avenge them this season.

Khris Middleton’s true test will come in the postseason, but there is no denying that he has been great throughout the first 16 regular season games. Middleton has not been perfect by any means, but he has certainly been the next best thing.
