Second key to victory against Cavaliers – Milwaukee Bucks reach 100-point mark first

Offense is not something that has come easy to the Cavaliers thus far this season. Though their defense ranks among the ten best in the NBA at the moment, their 104 offensive rating shares the worst ranking in the league, along with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

When Cleveland has managed to score 100 or more points in the game, though, which is something that they’ve managed to do in half of their games so far, they have gone 8-3 in those games. However, when their opponents score 100 or more points, they’re only 6-11.

The Bucks, by comparison, have been the best offensive team in the league with their 118.6 offensive rating. And unlike the Cavs, the Bucks have also scored over 100 points in every single game that they’ve played thus far.

Getting to the 100-point mark first will be pivotal in these games. With Cleveland struggling to score points 100 points in a league that sees most teams score that amount easily on a nightly basis, it will be crucial to get to the 100-point mark first. The slower the pace of the game is, and the later in the game that the teams get to 100 points, the more likely it is that the game will favor the Cavs.
