Second key to victory when hosting Sacramento Kings — Milwaukee Bucks need to capitalize on transition opportunities

The Bucks are one of the best teams in the association when it comes to capitalizing on fast break opportunities, tied for third in such points at 15.5 per game. This is another aspect of the game where Giannis Antetokounmpo dominates by putting up 4.9 points in such situations, the best among all players.

Continuing that excellence will be crucial against the Kings, who struggle to keep their opponents at bay in the open court. The Kings are allowing 13 fast break points to their opponents this season, which ranks 19th in the league. The Bucks will get their share of opportunities to put extra points on the board if they capitalize on these opportunities, and they must do so.

On the flip side, the Kings are much better at scoring the ball on those chances, putting up the 14th most points at 13.2 per game. Luckily, the Bucks are well-equipped to slow them down defensively, as they allow the fewest fast break points in the league at just 9.3 per contest.

Holding the Kings in check defensively on these chances while also running up the score on the opposite end would help tip the needle in Milwaukee’s favor. The Bucks have been fantastic in both aspects this season, and hopefully, that continues in this matchup against the Kings.
