Third key to victory when hosting Sacramento Kings — Milwaukee Bucks need to score on second chance baskets

Second chance scoring opportunities have provided a substantial boost for the Bucks this season, currently racking up the fifth-most points in that department at 14.1 per game. Putting an emphasis on crashing the glass offensively has allowed them to haul in10.6 offensive rebounds per game to help the Bucks put extra points up.

Keeping consistent with these second chances will be an important factor against a Sacramento team that is lackluster at limiting their opponents in that area. The Kings give up 13.8 second chance points per contest on average, the league’s sixth-highest mark. That should be music to the Bucks’ ears, and they must make the most of the opportunities when they present themselves.

Bobby Portis surprisingly leads Milwaukee with 75 total second chance points this season, and Antetokounmpo ranks just a few ticks behind him with 73 of his own. Both players rank within the 25 in the association, which spells a good game for them ahead. This should be a great game for Milwaukee’s big men and certainly something to monitor as the game progresses.
