Second key to victory versus Clippers — Jrue Holiday makes the best of return to Milwaukee Bucks
There’s no question that Jrue Holiday making his long-awaited return to action will be a sight for sore eyes for all Bucks fans going into Sunday’s matchup.
Milwaukee eventually rebounded the longer they were without Holiday as they were 5-5 since the veteran guard was placed in the league’s health and safety protocols. And right before Holiday missed the majority of Bucks games this month, he and the team were in the middle of a five-game win streak and playing some of the best basketball of their run this year.
Holiday’s presence brings a needed balance that the Bucks had started to hit only recently and admittedly, against lower competition as their recent wins showed.
The big question upon Holiday’s return is what game shape will he be in at this point after nearly missing three weeks of games. Coming to such a standstill, especially with his unconfirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis, can be a hard thing to overcome and NBA players who have come down with the virus have talked about their troubles they’ve had with their conditioning since returning to action.
After having cleared the league’s protocols and ramped up into practicing with the team over the last couple of days, Holiday’s return is finally here. And Bucks fans should brace for Holiday to work through some inevitable bumps along the way as he gets back into peak shape again.
