Donte DiVincenzo is the Milwaukee Bucks’ second star of the week.

After a career night in the Bucks’ win over the New Orleans Pelicans last Thursday night, Donte DiVincenzo earns this week’s second star honors.

DiVincenzo showed everything about the current state of his development in that 24-point performance, all of which propelled the Bucks to not just that win, but their three wins from the last week. The third-year guard averaged 16 points on .500/.444/.500 splits, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and a steal across 29.4 minutes per game.

As much as the improvements he’s shown in his skills, the intangibles and the little things that he has excelled in over his time in Milwaukee still remain intact. There was no better example of that than DiVincenzo drawing the game-sealing charge at the end of his career night versus New Orleans.

Whether it’s drawing such calls, making timely rotations on defense or chasing after loose balls, DiVincenzo continues to show why he’s a fundamental piece to the Bucks’ present and future.

Now maintaining his career-best 3-ppoint shooting and his improved finishing at the basket will be the key to giving the Bucks the complementary scoring threat they need when it matters most.
