Bobby Portis is the Milwaukee Bucks’ third star of the week.

As he has for the majority of the 2020-21 season, the Bucks continue to enjoy a strong scoring lift from their sixth man, Bobby Portis.

Portis continues to play his most optimized basketball of his career and averaged 11.7 points on 14-for-25 shooting from the field (56 percent), 5-for-9 from three (55.6 percent), 7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and an assist in 24.8 minutes per contest.

As he’s enjoying one of the most efficient shooting season in the league as Portis’ 61.0 effective field goal percentage ranks 13th in the league, Portis has been making an impact on the defensive end as well. Portis’s active hands have been best utilized when playing tight to his assignment rather than in the Bucks’ drop-back scheme and it’s giving the Bucks more versatility as a result.

Portis’ performances this year only reinforce his status as one of the best free agency bargains from the offseason as well.
