Fifth realistic trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks — Danuel House, Houston Rockets
Another member of the Rockets whose name has been floating around on the trade market is Danuel House, and he should be on the Milwaukee Bucks’ radar.
Speaking on his Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst stated that although he is not sure just how available House is, teams are interested in his services:
"“I’ve heard Danuel House’s name. At least some teams are doing some research on Danuel House, I don’t know how available he is. I’ve heard some teams poking around on him, doing some background stuff.”"
House has had a rough start to the season as he battled through an injury early on, but he is still a solid role player. In 22 appearances this season, the forward is averaging 9.1 points on a .375/.312/.757 slash line, four rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
While House’s 31.2 3-point percentage is certainly not the most wowing for a Milwaukee team looking for shooters, the forward’s hectic start to the season might have something to do with that. In his previous two seasons with Houston, House shot 38.1 percent on 5.2 attempts from distance per game, a far more reputable number.
Defensively, House would give the Bucks another versatile 6’6″ defender to throw out on the wing. If they are fortunate to meet a player like Kevin Durant or Jimmy Butler down the road in the postseason, they could use another wing to alleviate some pressure defensively.
Financially, House has an affordable salary this season of $3.7 million and $3.9 million the following. That makes him a feasible trade target for the Bucks, and they should make a run at him ahead of the deadline.
