Third potential buyout target for the Milwaukee Bucks — Avery Bradley

The Bucks have been rumored to have interest in shooting guard Avery Bradley dating back to the offseason, and they could soon make another run at him in the buyout market.

Bradley was involved in Thursday’s last minute trade between the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat centered around bringing Victor Oladipo to South Beach. With Bradley now in Houston, it remains to be seen whether the Rockets will hang onto him or potentially buy out his contract to let him hit the open market and free up space in their backcourt.

If they go with the latter, he will have a slew of contending teams looking to pick him up, and the Bucks would be an easy choice as a team to utilize his services. Bradley would give Milwaukee another defensive-minded guard that specializes in perimeter defense. The two-time All-Defensive honoree would certainly help alleviate their issues to an extent on that side of the ball, particularly as they continue experimenting with new schemes.

Offensively, the guard could add another floor spacer to Milwaukee’s offense that is always looking for more shooting to implement into the arsenal. Bradley is knocking down a career-best 42.1 percent of his triples on 3.8 attempts per game this year, providing a solid boost in that regard.

While he does not fit the billing as a prototypical point guard, Brady would be a solid piece for the Bucks if they could get him off the buyout market.
