The Milwaukee Bucks’ turnover problem has been a falling trend.

The Bucks have had issues with turnovers at times during this season, and it almost cost them two games since the All-Star break. No one can forget how the Bucks’ dismal first half performance in that aforementioned win over the 76ers was dogged by 13 first half turnovers and just 31 points, the fewest they’ve scored in a half this year.

The issue resurfaced in the Bucks’ nail-biting win over the Celtics last week where the Bucks held on at the final second after having blown a 25-point lead from midway through the third period. While the Celtics made life tougher by hitting shots in the second half, the Bucks committed 12 second half turnovers, with most of them being self-inflicted.

This lack of ball security at times is certainly highlighting a need for the Bucks to target a backup point guard in the buyout market after shipping out Augustin. The Bucks may reportedly have Austin Rivers to help out on that front by all accounts.

Still, it will take a collective effort for the Bucks to improve their ball handling and overall decision making over the course of 48 minutes.
