Should the Milwaukee Bucks pass or pursue on rumored free agent target Brandon Knight?

The Bucks were previously in the hunt for a backup point guard, and Brandon Knight was reportedly among those on their list of candidates.

First reported by The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears, Milwaukee recently held a workout for the 29-year-old guard with a potential interest in pursuing a reunion. Knight is a familiar face in Milwaukee, as he spent 124 games there before leaving mid-way through the 2014-15 campaign. The guard has dealt with injuries extensively since then, bouncing around from team to team, most recently splitting 25 games last season between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.

When that initial reporting first broke, it seemed like a feasible move for the Bucks. They needed another ball handler in the second unit badly, and although Knight has struggled to stay on the floor these past few seasons, he was one of the better names available. However, Milwaukee’s recent signing of Jeff Teague has filled their backup point guard vacancy.

With Teague in the fold, there is very little need for another point guard in the rotation unless the team wants to bolster their depth at the position. While that might not be the worst idea, Teague’s fantastic start with the team hinders any chance of the team adding another floor general.

The Verdict: Pass
