Milwaukee Bucks: 3 matchups to watch for against Atlanta Hawks
Milwaukee Bucks get their first shot of playing against Bogdan Bogdanovic
It’s safe to say Bogdan Bogdanovic is showing why the Bucks prioritized getting the Serbian international over the offseason.
After very publicly not going to Milwaukee in a tampering snafu that led to the Bucks losing their 2022 second round pick, Bodganovic’s Hawks stint was marred from the beginning. A right avulsion fracture had sidelined for 24 games this season and he finally made his return at the beginning of March, right after Lloyd Pierce’s firing.
Since returning to action, Bogdanovic is averaging 15.2 points on .473/.431/.905 shooting, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and a steal across 28.8 minutes in 21 appearances.
Bogdanovic has given the Hawks the kind of complemtary scoring, shooting and shot creation that all Bucks fans were eager to see once upon a time. Now, as Bogdanovic looks to face up against the team he called have called home, Milwaukee will be eager to shut down the scoring punch that Bogdanovic is capable of providing.
The Bucks have wing defenders like Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton that offer size and strength to bother Bogdanovic. And after finally making his return to action against the Timberwolves after missing the Bucks’ last 10 games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see P.J. Tucker see some time on Bogdanovic, provided he’s available on the second night of the Bucks’ back-to-back.
The Bucks’ clash with the Atlanta Hawks is set to tip off at 6:30 p.m CST and you’ll be able to catch the action on Bally Sports Wisconsin or on TNT where it will be nationally televised.
