Khris Middleton is the third star of the week for the Milwaukee Bucks

While this slide is normally slated for featuring the contributions of a bench player, the Bucks’ ‘Big 3’ has shown their value in a major way this week and Khris Middleton rounds it all out this week.

Middleton has fought through some ups and downs over the course of the second half, but one couldn’t tell that in his 26-point performance on 11-of-21 shooting (3-for-7 from three), 11 rebounds and six assists.

As the two-time All-Star got to wherever he wanted on the floor and attacked switches on the offensive end, Middleton provided plenty of resistance when guarding up against Kevin Durant. The Bucks didn’t slow down Durant as he went on to have 42 points, but the fact that it came on 33 shots showed how the Bucks made it much more difficult this time around on the 2014 MVP compared to their first regular season matchup.

To his credit, Middleton limited Durant to nine points on 3-for-7 shooting (1-of-2 from three) as well as an assist and a turnover across 19.11 partial possessions.

Over the Bucks’ four games last week, Middleton averaged 24.5 points on .432/.394/.882 shooting, 7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 36 minutes per game. And the Bucks surely needed every bit of Middleton’s production as the week went on.
