The Milwaukee Bucks get a massive lift from guard trio off the bench in win over Wizards

While this game was highlighted by the stars at work for each respective team, the Bucks had a trio of role players step up big for them off the bench.

The first was Pat Connaughton, who clocked in a heroic performance by scoring an impressive 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including going 4-for-8 from deep. Two of those triples came on back-to-back possessions in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, which ultimately helped the Bucks win. Aside from knocking down several clutch shots, the guard hauled in six rebounds and dished out three assists to make his presence felt all night.

Another guard that gave Milwaukee some offense off the bench was Bryn Forbes, who continued his recent stretch of excellence by scoring 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting (2-of-5 from deep). Forbes has looked more comfortable than ever before as he continues letting it fly from downtown and rightfully so as he is enjoying a career year shooting the long ball. As long as he continues shooting, that floor spacing he brings to the table could be a secret weapon for the team come playoff time.

Lastly, Jeff Teague made his return to the lineup after he had been sidelined with an abdominal injury. Milwaukee’s backup floor general made a strong impression in his return by scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting while also tallying four assists and two rebounds. While Teague has been largely inconsistent since joining the Bucks earlier this year, performances like these showcase why the team was so high on the veteran when they brought him in.
