The Milwaukee Bucks playing down to their competition has been a falling trend

While the Bucks are riding such a hot streak at this moment and stand as one of few contenders in the East, they have let games slip away when matched up with vastly inferior opponents.

There was no better evidence of that than losing to the Rockets the first go around, the game in which Kevin Porter Jr. dropped an astounding 50 points on the Bucks as they didn’t have any answer in slowing him nor the Rockets down. That came in spite of their own offensive attack firing on all cylinders led by both Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, who had 33 and 29 points, respectively.

While the Bucks prevailed over the Rockets Friday night in a 141-133 victory, they still surrendered 25 threes on 53 attempts from an otherwise depleted Rockets team that still had six players score in double figures.

Considering the slate of games that the Bucks go up against to close out their regular season, the Miami Heat notwithstanding, they can’t afford to let slip any games in order to stay in second place in the East.
