The Milwaukee Bucks must contain Duncan Robinson in Game 2 with the Heat

A massive factor in this series between the Bucks and the Heat will be the 3-point shooting, which makes Duncan Robinson the ultimate X-factor.

Miami’s sharpshooting forward got himself off to a fast start early yesterday by scoring the team’s first nine points on three made triples. Despite Milwaukee’s best efforts to contain him defensively, Robinson continued his perimeter assault throughout the rest of the contest by finishing with 24 points on 7-for-13 shooting from behind the arc in 36 minutes of game action.

Milwaukee’s 3-point defense has been among their weak points this season and Robinson’s efficient outing nearly proved lethal as he continued launching triples. He will undoubtedly keep that aggressive mindset throughout the rest of the series knowing that the Bucks struggle on the perimeter, meaning they must game plan a way to chase him off the 3-point line as much as humanly possible.

Khris Middleton will likely remain Robinson’s primary defender and he must ensure not to give the sharpshooter any space behind the line. Robinson has proven to be one of the best long distance shooters in the association this season and keeping him at bay will be a key for the Bucks moving forward.
