Bryn Forbes lights it up for Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 win over Heat

Another reason why the Bucks blew the doors open on the Heat was the exploits of one Bryn Forbes.

To say that Forbes exploded upon taking the court might be an understatement as each and every successive 3-pointer that he knocked down added more fire to the Bucks’ red-hot start in the first quarter. Forbes’ four triples during the first period contributed to the Bucks breaking an NBA record by hitting 10 triples for a quarter.

Forbes didn’t let it up from there as he continued to splash in a couple of more triples as well as take advantage of over-aggressive closeouts from Heat defenders and as the Bucks went on to finish with 22 made triples. And in the midst of his hot shooting performance, Bucks guard Jrue Holiday admitted that the team was riding Forbes’ hot hand to ride them to a blowout victory as ESPN’s Kevin Arnovitz relayed after the game:

"“If my man got the hot hand, I’m going to him,” Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday said. “And he wasn’t missing, so at that point we were running everything to him just to — really just to see what happens.”"

Forbes finished the night with 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting (6-for-9 from deep), five rebounds and a pair of turnovers in nearly 20 minutes of burn off the bench. Now as the series shifts over to Miami, the Bucks know fully well their most lethal sharpshooter is capable of breaking playoff games wide-open.
