How did the Milwaukee Bucks’ bench perform in Game 2 loss to Brooklyn Nets?

Perhaps the one bright spot for the Bucks in this awful Game 2 was that Bryn Forbes had a bounce-back game after struggling in the opener. Forbes regained his sweet shooting as he finished with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-4 from distance. Those numbers do not jump off the page, especially given the blowout, but it is welcoming to see the guard return to his efficient shooting form. The Bucks can only hope that the guard can keep the shooting up with the series returning to Milwaukee.&lt;/p&gt;<br /> &lt;p&gt;. SG. Milwaukee Bucks. BRYN FORBES. B

D. The story of the night was Milwaukee’s poor offense, and Bobby Portis played his part in that struggle. The big man finished with just two points on 1-of-5 shooting while missing both of his attempts from behind the arc off the bench. Typically a reliable scorer, calling this Game 2 performance an off night would be a massive understatement for Milwaukee’s typical leading scorer in the second unit. In addition to not being able to score consistently, Brooklyn’s insanely high-powered offense was carving Portis up on the defensive end in what was just a poor night for him across 17 minutes played.. PAT CONNAUGHTON. D-. Pat Connaughton played almost 14 minutes in Game 2, but he was practically invisible out there. Missing his only shot attempt of the night, the guard finished with zero points and four rebounds, along with a turnover. No one will point the finger at Connaughton for last night’s terrible loss, but he did not exactly show up in any meaningful manner either. The Bucks will never be dependent on his contributions on offense or defense in order to succeed, but they could have undoubtedly used a spark off the bench in that matchup.. SG. Milwaukee Bucks

. Milwaukee Bucks. END OF THE BENCH . INC. Given the sizeable blowout, the Bucks unloaded their bench fairly early last night and got their end of the bench players some burn. The only two that genuinely stood out were Justin Jackson and Elijah Bryant. Jackson took advantage of the rare opportunity to see time on the floor by finishing with six points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting in just four-and-a-half minutes. Bryant also finished with six points in over nine minutes of action as he continues flashing promise when he gets the chance to hit the court. Yet, there was little to be optimistic about after watching the team get dismantled from start to finish.
