How did the Milwaukee Bucks’ starters perform in Game 6 victory over the Brooklyn Nets?

B+. This was certainly a strange game from Jrue Holiday. On the surface, his numbers looked great offensively as he scored 21 points and dished out five assists in contrast to just one turnover. Yet, it was an extremely inefficient shooting night for the guard as he was just 8-of-21 from the field and an awful 1-of-10 from behind the arc. Highlighted by several unwarranted stepback 3-pointers, Holiday’s shot selection was questionable from start to finish as he seemingly was making things harder on himself. Still, he came up big for the Bucks offensively and helped them close the deal. Furthermore, he was active defensively by tallying four assists and playing some persistent defense on James Harden all night.. PG. Milwaukee Bucks. JRUE HOLIDAY

SG. Milwaukee Bucks. KHRIS MIDDLETON. A+. You could not have scripted a better game for Khris Middleton with everything on the line for him and the Bucks. The forward was sensational all night in scoring the basketball by finishing with 38 points on 68.8 percent shooting from the field and 62.5 percent from deep. In addition to his insane scoring performance, Middleton found his teammates by handing out five assists. Notching 10 rebounds and snatching an eye-catching five steals, Middleton was active in every aspect and did his part to elevate this team to victory. Hats off to Middleton for arguably the most memorable postseason game of his career to this point.

P.J. TUCKER. B-. Aside from a heroic effort in Game 4, offense has been hard to come by for P.J. Tucker in this series. He kept that trend consistent by having another poor shooting night in Game 6, scoring just three points on 1-of-6 shooting. However, the Bucks will never be dependent on Tucker’s scoring ability, although it is nice to see that corner three drop occasionally. Instead, the forward has his work cut out for him on the defensive end. He was primarily matched up against Kevin Durant all night long and made the much bigger KD work for every single shot attempt. Tucker’s tenacity has brought another level of intensity to this team, which has been on full display since he moved into the starting lineup full time.. SF. Milwaukee Bucks

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO. A+. This is how everyone has begged Giannis Antetokounmpo to play throughout the entirety of this series. Rather than settling for ill-advised outside jumpers repeatedly, Antetokounmpo bulldozed his way inside and did his damage close to the basket, where he is the most lethal. In fact, the Greek Freak did not attempt a single 3-pointer in this matchup, and the results speak for themselves. Giannis finished with 30 points on 12-of-20 shooting, 17 rebounds, and three assists in 41 minutes played, certainly leaving his stamp on this massive win at Fiserv Forum. After receiving an immeasurable dose of criticism for his late-game efforts in Game 5, Antetokounmo rebounded with a fantastic performance in Game 6 to get his team back in the win column.. PF. C. Milwaukee Bucks. BROOK LOPEZ. B-. Brook Lopez has been somewhat of an afterthought in this series, which is understandable with all eyes fixated on the Big 3. The big man finished Game 6 with eight points on 4-for-9 shooting from the field, including 0-for-3 from behind the arc. Much like Giannis, Lopez is at his best when he is closest to the hoop on the offensive end, but he continues letting it fly from range without a second thought. More post-ups and fewer 3-point attempts would have bolstered his stock on the night, but Lopez left his biggest mark on this game defensively. Milwaukee’s man in the middle blocked three shots on the night, doing his part to protect the paint down low.
