Khris Middleton brings it when it matters most in Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 7 win

Coming off his masterpiece performance in Game 6, Khris Middleton fought through all of the ups and downs he and the Bucks as a whole had to go through during the night.

It was far from an ideal start for the two-time All-Star as he went 2-for-11 from the field and the Bucks’ offense certainly suffered as a result at that portion of the game.

Middleton’s offense didn’t fully breakthrough over the course of the second half, but he at least hit timely shots to get the Bucks humming on that side of the ball and especially as they tried to stay within striking distance in regulation and overtime. It all proved worth it when Middleton sank his signature turnaround fadeaway over Nets guard Bruce Brown that put the Bucks up 113-111 with 40.1 seconds to go in overtime.

While that was all happening, Middleton emerged as an essential cover on Kevin Durant, especially in the minutes after Bucks forward P.J. Tucker fouled out in overtime. Middleton’s size, length and effort was enough to bother Durant into misses at the exact times the Bucks needed it.

All in all, Middleton posted 23 points on 26 shots (2-for-7 shooting from 3-point range, 3-for-3 from the free throw line), 10 boards, six assists, five steals and three turnovers in nearly 52-and-a-half minutes of run.
