C+. What a phenomenal series by Kevin Durant. Arguably the most gifted scorer of this generation put on a masterclass in Game 7 by scoring 48 points on 47.2 percent field goal shooting and 36.4 percent shooting from three. He was Brooklyn’s only consistent source of offense from start to finish, highlighted by a game-tying jumper in regulation to send this game into overtime. He was nothing short of phenomenal, although it was apparent late that he ran out of gas in the final moments. Although James Harden scored 22 points, he got a massive lift from the free throw line, where he was 10-for-10. Aside from those easy points at the charity stripe, the guard struggled shooting all night by going just 5-of-17 from the floor (2-of-12 from three.) He did dish out nine assists and gather nine rebounds, but the main focus will undoubtedly be his poor shooting night. The same goes for Joe Harris, who was just 3-of-10 from the floor in this matchup for 10 points. As one of the best shooters in the association during the regular season, Harris struggled to be himself during this series at any point and struggled yet again in Game 7. Blake Griffin and Bruce Brown played rather well as they combined for 31 points on 14-of-21 shooting, but it was not enough in the end. Meanwhile, the Nets did not get a single point from their second unit as the starts played heavy minutes. Durant nearly willed this team to victory, but they ultimately came up short in the end.. .
