C+. The Atlanta Hawks looked firmly in control of this game up until the very end. They came out with a sense of urgency far superior to Milwaukee’s, finding themselves up double-digits fairly early. It was another great game for Trae Young, who finished with 35 points on 12-of-23 shooting, including 6-of-14 from 3-point range. He was on fire until he inadvertently tweaked his ankle by stepping on an official’s foot late in the third quarter, which sent him back to the locker room for a quick few minutes. He would soon return to the game, but it was clear that ankle was bothering him. Aside from Danilo Gallinari, who finished with 18 points off the bench, Atlanta’s supporting cast failed to step up, particularly with Young grimacing up and down the court in the fourth quarter on every possession. Bogdan Bogdanovic finished with eight points on a horrific 3-of-16 shooting, while John Collins scored only 13 points, and Kevin Huerter finished with 11. They were unable to clamp down defensively in the fourth quarter as Middleton caught fire and scored 20 points in the period to ultimately give the Bucks the win. On top of that, they were also unable to conjure consistent offense for themselves as they scored just 17 points over the final 12 minutes, three less than Middleton tallied by his lonesome. It was a great stretch for the Hawks as they were up by seven in the fourth, but Middleton buried their hopes with a spirited rally.. . Opponent. ATLANTA HAWKS
