The Milwaukee Bucks could pair Danny Green with Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 free agency

One of the most recognizable 3-point shooters in the league today, the Bucks should look to make a run at Danny Green this offseason.

Being traded to the rivaling Philadelphia 76ers last offseason, Green would have one of the best shooting seasons yet in his ongoing 12-year career. Heaving a career-high 6.3 triples per game, Green would average 2.5 makes, tying a career-best. Playing alongside Philadelphia’s All-Star tandem of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, two players that are not well-known for their shooting, Green proved himself to be a crucial piece for them.

It would not be far-fetched to say that he could have a similar impact for Milwaukee when playing next to Antetokounmpo. The veteran has made a living in this league by providing sharpshooting from the outside for some of the all-time greats, including Tim Duncan, LeBron James, and Kawhi Leonard, among others, and he has three championship rings to show for it. While Green might not have been the most critical player in those title runs, he has earned his keep in the postseason as he currently boasts the 12th most 3-pointers in playoff history with 283.

Adding Green would give the Bucks another reputable shooting that has an immeasurable amount of playoff experience, which would help them in their quest to repeat. The biggest issue could be the financial side of things, as Green could command a more lucrative deal on the open market, but whatever the case, the Bucks should look to pry away a top shooter from one of their biggest rivals within the Eastern Conference.
