The Milwaukee Bucks could replace P.J. Tucker with Andre Iguodala in 2021 NBA Free Agency

While there are not too many clear-cut players better than Tucker on the market, Andre Iguodala would be a  massive addition for the Bucks.

The forward has been a solid defender throughout his 17 years in the league, currently boasting two All-Defensive selections to show for it. Iguodala also earned the 2015 Finals MVP with the Golden State Warriors for his defensive efforts in that series with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has since relocated to the Heat, where he spent the previous two seasons. With the Heat declining his team option and letting him enter unrestricted free agency, the Bucks should make an offering.

Although he is 37-years-old, the savvy veteran would help bulk up Milwaukee’s already robust defensive rotation with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez next to him on the floor. While he might not be the top-tier defender that he once was, Iguodala could still be a useful piece to the puzzle as the team looks to retool defensively. The biggest question is what kind of deal will the long-time veteran be seeking on his next deal and whether he will be in the market for a payday or a spot to compete.

Perhaps Iguodala’s former teammate Jure Holiday could look to make a pitch that would see the two reunite and make a run at a championship. That has to be enticing to some degree, but only time will tell what the former Finals MVP decides on what comes next in his career.
