Milwaukee Bucks’ Sandro Mamukelashvili will look to gain his first glimpse at NBA level basketball in the Summer League
One of Milwaukee’s newest players, Sandro Mamukelashvili, will be given the chance to debut in the 2021 Summer League.
The 54th overall pick is looking to get his first chance at NBA level play and work on translating his excellent college play. Coming out of college at Seton Hall, Sandro Mamukelashvili was named the Big East Co-Player of the Year. The Seton Hall alum had an excellent final season, and his potential as an NBA player is certainly there. In his final year at the collegiate level, Mamukelashvili boasted an impressive average of 17.5 points per game on 45 percent shooting.
Sandro played a unique role in his final year, and it is a role that gave him plenty of experience that could translate to the NBA level. The big man has a great ability to space the floor on offense, attack mismatches in isolation, and thrive in transition opportunities. With a 7 foot-1 inch wingspan, Mamukeslahvili can keep opposing players in front of him, but he could refine his defense as a rim protector. As Sandro looks to gain his first look at the NBA pace of play, he could work on his game and impress Milwaukee’s coaching staff.
The second round pick has a chance to earn some reps in the Summer League, and he will be one of the most interesting players to watch. His abilities on both ends make him an intriguing player, and his size is needed as the young Bucks head to the Summer League. Be sure to keep an eye on Mamukelashvili in his Summer League debut, as we will be given a first look at his abilities at the NBA level.
