Georgios Kalaitzakis will provide versatility at the point guard position for the Milwaukee Bucks

Georgios Kalaitzakis, the 60th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, is undoubtedly an intriguing player for Milwaukee.

Despite being listed as a forward, Kalaitzakis took the role of running the offense in his time in the Summer League. Listed at 6 feet-7 inches, the young Greek is extremely versatile. He has spent some time as the primary ball-handler in Summer League to great effect. In his debut, Kalaitzakis notched 12 points and had nine points in his next outing. His ability to shoot is there as well as his ability to drive to the rim. Georgios holds the tools to be an effective scorer and defender.

The question mark remains if Georgios will see playing time at the facilitator role or as a forward. It is an excellent problem to have when you have a player who is as versatile as Kalaitzakis. Wherever Milwaukee places him, he will be able to develop his game. Kalaitzakis’ experience at the forward will lead to him seeing some time in that role. However, his scoring ability and excellent passing will allow him to mold into the point guard position effectively as well. Signed to a three-year deal, Kalaitzakis will have plenty of time to develop to the NBA level, and it will certainly be one of the most intriguing things for Milwaukee.

Georgios brings so much versatility to the team, and some of that versatility could be beneficial at the floor general role. As the season gets underway, be sure to keep an eye on the young Greek as he looks to mold into an NBA-level player.

With a plethora of depth at the point guard position, the Bucks will be in a good place with any of their facilitators on the floor. With veteran leaders in Holiday and Hill, the young Bucks will be given a chance to be coached by some excellent facilitators.
