Jordan Nwora will look to make a case for rotational minutes at shooting guard for the Milwaukee Bucks

One of the young faces for the Milwaukee Bucks will look to earn some extra time at the NBA level. Nwora, the second-year player out of Lousiville, has certainly shown an impressive ability to shoot the ball.

While his numbers have taken a noticeable dip in his Summer League campaign, he has piqued the interest of fans due to his performances last season. In about nine minutes per game, Nwora provided excellent shooting from 3-point territory posting a 45.2 percent 3-point percentage. His quick release allows him to get shots up with defenders closing in and he has shown an impressive ability to make those contested shots in his limited time on an NBA floor. While his Summer League performances have left something to be desired, his ability to be a sharpshooter is intriguing as he could fit the Bryn Forbes role from last season.

Nwora could be another beneficiary of the time missed by DiVincenzo. If Allen is given the reigns as the starting shooting guard for the Bucks, Nwora could be next in line to make appearances at that spot. Due to the surplus of talent and depth at the small forward position, it could be more likely that we see Nwora earn minutes at shooting guard. While Nwora will still need time to develop, his flashes of potential are certainly there. His ability to be a sharpshooter is one of the main draws for the young player.

Nwora will certainly have plenty of eyes on him as he continues to develop, and he has the tools to earn extra reps at the NBA level. Defensive limitations aside, Nwora’s potential leads him to be one of the most interesting young players for the Bucks heading into the 2021-22 season. With a question mark surrounding DiVincenzo’s health, there will be other players looking to earn some of those minutes. All three players have strengths that mold perfectly in the Bucks’ system.
