The main look and concept that changed for the Bucks’ uniforms during this era was the complete removal of red.

Some people loved the red, while others despised it. Wherever a fan fell on the spectrum, these new jerseys gave the team a fresh look with a few tweaks. White replaced the red numbers, letters, and script, probably to resemble less of a Christmas tree look overall, and it was certainly an interesting decision. As well, the red piping on the jerseys and shorts was replaced with green. These amazing uniforms also bring back very fond memories of Ricky Pierce, Craig Hodges, and Terry Cummings, as the Bucks were one of the top teams in the league during the 1980s and had numerous deep playoff runs.

To this day, this jersey and uniform is still very sharp. It is safe to say that Bucks fans would also love this version to be brought back and worn as an alternate in some aspect. The jersey from this era is one of the more underappreciated when it comes to the team’s vast jersey collection, and a retro down the line would undoubtedly help do it some well-deserved justice.
