No. 3 — The Milwaukee Bucks still have Giannis Antetokounmpo

As long as Giannis Antetokounmpo is still on the Bucks, they will be contenders for years to come. It is truly that simple. With the two-time MVP locked in after inking a supermax contract extension last offseason, this team is in good hands moving forward.

After all, Antetokounmpo is arguably the most accomplished 26-year-old in league history after earning his first Finals MVP this past season. He showed glimpses of all-time greatness during this past playoff run, and he still has room to develop in his game. The Greek Freak will soon be entering his prime years, which is a crazy thought for a player that already has a laundry list of accomplishments like him. There truly is no ceiling for just how great Antetokounmpo can be for his career, and this team will go as far as he goes.

There had previously been a narrative circulating that Antetokounmpo could not step up to the plate in the playoffs due to the team’s prior failures. He emphatically eradicated that thought by averaging 30.2 points, 12.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, a steal, and 1.2 blocked shots per game during the 2021 NBA Playoffs. As highlighted previously, this run should only help boost his confidence moving forward, particularly as the Bucks enter next season as the defending world champions. Having arguably the best player in the NBA on their side – undeniably the best two-way player – the Bucks are in good hands.
