Top moments from Milwaukee Bucks’ title run: Jrue Holiday’s steal leads to a slam by Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 5

After winning Game 4 thanks to Middleton’s 40 points and Antetokounmpo’s block, the Bucks had the momentum with the series tied up. However, they would have to face a vicious Phoenix crowd in Game 5, a matchup that would create yet another all-time great play that Bucks fans will never forget about.

With less than 30 seconds to play, Booker walked the ball up the court with the Bucks holding a 120-119 lead. Everyone in the arena and at home knew that he wanted to take that go-ahead shot, so when he drove into the lane, he was met by Antetokounmpo and P.J. Tucker in front of him to make sure he would not get it off easily. What Booker did not see was Holiday sneaking up behind him, who would strip the ball away and race down the floor.

Rather than hold the ball and run the clock down, Holiday saw Antetokounmpo pointing up towards the rim, signaling that he wanted a lob. Holiday obliged by tossing up a pass that only Antetokounmpo could throw down, and the Greek Freak hammered it home while getting fouled by Chris Paul. It was undoubtedly a risky play in real-time as the Bucks were up by just one point and the Suns could have gotten the ball right back if the pass was even just a bit off, but these two made sure that would not happen.

Trust is something that the Bucks discussed throughout the playoff run, and this moment did a great job of capturing it all as the Bucks would win the game.
