Milwaukee Bucks: Analyzing 20-25+ minute rotational players for 2021-22
By Jacob Maier
Grayson Allen will look to carve out a role for himself in the rotation in his first season with the Milwaukee Bucks
Grayson Allen, one of the newest faces in Milwaukee, will likely see a large workload in his first season with the Bucks.
Now, this prediction will rely on Donte DiVincenzo’s health. DiVincenzo is returning from injury, and it is likely that Allen will be starting in his place until he is ready. If DiVincenzo earns the starting job upon returning from injury, Allen could see a large role in the rotation. Allen is a polarizing figure in Milwaukee due to his college antics. However, he will be an important contributor to the Bucks’ second unit if he is given a rotational spot.
Allen is coming off an impressive season in 2020-21, where the young guard averaged 10.6 points per game on .418/.391/.868 shooting splits. If Allen can continue his impressive shooting, especially from deep, he will be a key part of Milwaukee’s offense. With Allen being a newcomer to the team, it may be hard to predict exactly where his minutes will fall. However, due to his potential as a sharpshooter and the question marks surrounding DiVincenzo’s health, Allen could see 20-25 rotational minutes in his first season in Milwaukee.
Be sure to look out for Allen as he looks to make a name for himself on his new team.
