Ranking 2021-22 Milwaukee Bucks starters: No. 4 – Brook Lopez

Brook Lopez was criticized on numerous occasions last year as many onlookers began to question his fit with the Bucks. Some said that the team should even look to trade him, but thankfully, that ultimately did not happen. Lopez proved to be essential in Milwaukee’s title run, giving the team a lethal dose of rim protection while also having his share of impressive scoring performances. They do not win this title without Lopez in the mix, and it is only fitting that he gets his flowers.

He is no longer the prolific scorer known as “Brooklyn Brook” that could average 20 points nightly, but he has a role on this Milwaukee team, and he plays it to perfection. Heading into the 2021-22 season, he will once again play a distinguished role for the Bucks, and being slotted as the current fourth-best player on a defending championship team is certainly some high honors. Hopefully he can put together another fantastic season, as this team needs him.

Ranking 2021-22 Milwaukee Bucks starters: No. 3 – Jrue Holiday

There is no denying that the Bucks certainly have one of the best third options in the league with Jrue Holiday. The guard proved throughout the postseason that he is an elite defender, arguably the best at his position league-wide, while also providing some outstanding play offensively. He proved to be the needle-tipping addition that the Bucks hoped for when they traded their future in draft picks away to acquire him. After helping this franchise win their first title in 50 years, it goes without saying that Holiday was worth every penny.

As he gears up for year two in Milwaukee, Holiday should only be better, which is truly saying something after the impressive season he just had. After being well-known as the league’s most underrated player over the years, no one will be underrating Holiday from now on. This is a player that could very well win the Defensive Player of the Year award – Holiday believes he should be in the conversation every year – that is also capable of going off for 20 plus points and double-digit assists on a nightly basis. His production was inconsistent during the playoffs, no one will debate that, but he consistently stepped up when the team needed him. He is the perfect third fiddle.
