Grayson Allen can make his starting case for the Milwaukee Bucks by shooting the lights out from deep

One of the first things the fans look at when the Bucks bring someone in is how well they shoot from behind the arc. The team has embraced a “let it fly” mindset under Budenholzer’s direction, and they have always been adamant about bringing in more 3-point shooting, which should only help Allen find his footing in his new environment more quickly.

Allen has been a solid shooter throughout the first three seasons of his career, having knocked down 38.1 percent of his triples on 4.1 attempts per contest. He is coming off his most productive season yet by connecting on 107 triples on 274 attempts, which was far more than the 89 triples he had on 240 attempts during the first two seasons of his career combined. Allen found his stride as a shooter last year, and playing for this Bucks team should only help that production increase.

Although he might not get many reps with the other starters in the preseason, it would be nice to see him find a groove in the preseason. Former Buck Bryn Forbes developed early chemistry with Antetokounmpo early last season due to how well his shooting complemented the MVP, and Allen could find success by providing similar support once the season begins. The open looks he will get playing alongside Antetokounmpo, Middleton, and Holiday will be bountiful, and it will be his job to knock them down at a consistent rate.
