Milwaukee Bucks — Giannis Antetokounmpo can learn something from Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett

Given that Antetokounmpo is a power forward, it only makes sense to kick the list off with one of the best to ever play the game in Kevin Garnett. “The Big Ticket,” left an imprint on the NBA, unlike most power forwards in history. His contagious passion, high-intensity attitude, and ultimate championship pedigree is felt whenever his name is mentioned in basketball circles.

Something on the court that Antetokounmpo can take away is Garnett’s mid-range jump shot. Antetokounmpo has shown drastic improvements in his release and timing, but as he says, he can always be better. Taking a page out of Garnett’s playbook can only help him as he continues to move towards his peak. It seems like the main critique with his game is that he lacks a jump shot. Even though he has shot over 50 percent from the field in every season since 2015-16, it would not hurt to add something else to his already deep bag of tricks.

If Antetokounmpo can have consistency close to what Garnett had on his jab-step, mid-range jumpers, the rest of the league should become even more scared of his talents. The MVP did show brief glimpses of an improved mid-range during the playoffs and particularly in the Finals, so that is hopefully a sign of things to come.
