Sandro Mamukelashvili could learn something from Milwaukee Bucks big man Bobby Portis

This one might seem obvious, mainly because who wouldn’t want to learn from Bobby Portis? His fire is contagious, and Mamukelashvili can benefit from it right away.

Through one year in Milwaukee, Portis became a household name, a player with unlimited energy and passion every second he was on the floor. He even earned his own merchandise drop, selling out his apparel in days after the Bucks took home the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Now, let’s be realistic; Mamukelashvili may not reach the level of popularity that Portis currently has in the Cream City, but he can take a few things away from how Portis carries himself, on and off the court.

Mamukelashvili won’t have as many minutes to work with compared to Portis, but in the time that he does have, whether it be in the NBA or the G-League, he can bring plenty of intangibles to the table.

Embracing a role with fewer chances to contribute may not be appealing to many players, but Mamukelashvili seemingly has no choice with so many players ahead of him on the depth chart. With an already unique skillset, he has a chance to mesh with championship-level players in just his first season in the Association.
