Takeaways from 2021 NBA preseason: Giannis Antetokounmpo may take his game to the next level offensively with the Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been regarded as one of the best players in the NBA over the past several years, and after his iconic Finals performance, he might be the greatest at this point. Still, the two-time MVP and reigning Finals MVP is always determined to improve his game, and it is looking like he spent the offseason working on adding a consistent jump shot to his arsenal as he gears up to defend his title with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although he still did his share of damage on this inside with some thunderous dunks and crafty moves around the basket offensively, Antetokounmpo also showed off some range. While he has been known to shoot the occasional mid-range jumper, he showed confidence with the shot as he went 5-of-7 on such attempts, according to NBA.com/stats. In addition to the mid-range shots, he was not hesitant to let it fly from long range, where he also saw success by connecting on four of his six tries. With a tweaked shooting form, Antetokounmpo looked incredibly comfortable as he shot from the perimeter and in mid-range, and rightfully so as his numbers were efficient.

For a player that has won two league MVPs, a Finals MVP, and has averaged 28.4 points per game over the last three seasons without a jumper, one can only imagine the havoc he could wreak if he can hit these shots consistently. It is something that has been discussed for years and years, but this could be the season where it finally comes true. While it might not be too wise to get lost in a preseason stretch, this is Giannis Antetokounmpo here, and the man has proven that nothing is genuinely impossible.
