What will Giannis Antetokounmpo do to continue his monster start to the season for the Milwaukee Bucks against the San Antonio Spurs?

It might be a stretch to say this, but what we’re seeing from Giannis Antetokounmpo right now might be the most complete he’s ever looked through the first five games this season. After a huge performance against the Timberwolves, Antetokounmpo is now averaging 27.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, a steal, and two blocks per game.

That doesn’t include him shooting over 35 percent from 3-point range on over three attempts per game and over 75 percent from the free-throw line on nearly 10 attempts a night.

There was much made about his tweaked shooting form to begin the preseason as it looked a lot smoother and didn’t have the hitch in it that we’ve come to expect. Although he hasn’t been shooting it as well from the midrange as he did during their championship run, Antetokounmpo has made strides in his shooting from the charity stripe and there are encouraging signs with his 3-point shot (though we’ll need more than a 17-shot sample).

He has been on a warpath to begin the season and has had to do a lot more on the defensive end without Lopez. He admitted it’s been a bit of a tough transition to playing so many minutes at center thus far, but it hasn’t impacted the rest of his game as much. The lone concern at the moment is that he’s not shooting as well from 3-to-16 feet from the basket, going 9-of-27 through the opening five games of the season.

That being said, there is little worry among Bucks fans that the reigning Finals MVP won’t find a way to correct that throughout the season and if his 3-point and free throw shooting numbers continue at this level? There could be another regular-season MVP in the cards for Giannis.
