Justin Robinson can contribute more for the Milwaukee Bucks

When the Bucks signed Justin Robinson utilizing one of their two-way slots this offseason, not many people expected him to see a sizeable role right away. Well, the guard has been thrown into the rotation for Milwaukee as starting point guard Jrue Holiday has been limited to just two games to this point as he deals with injury. With Hill sliding into the starting five, Robinson has been the backup floor general, and he is seeing consistent time for the champs.

Robinson has played a total of 112 minutes in all seven games this season, which is already more than he played in his first two seasons combined. The guard is seeing a more defined role than he has ever before, and his numbers have been hit or miss. Robinson is averaging just five points per game while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from deep. Although his overall numbers indicate he is struggling, Robinson has played great over Milwaukee’s last three games, giving this team a big boost in the backcourt.

He has the opportunity of a lifetime here with the Bucks as Holiday works his way back from his injuries. The Bucks are Robinson’s third team in three years, and as he is currently on a two-way deal, he can prove that he is deserving of a legitimate NBA contract if he plays well in this stretch. It might not come from Milwaukee, but someone would take a flyer on him down the road if he can turn some heads in this stretch.

Time will tell how long Holiday’s injury lingers, but Robinson must seize the opportunity until then.
