Rayjon Tucker tacks on another impressive performance as he continues his MVP campaign for the Wisconsin Herd
Tucker, a two-year pro, has been one of the most intriguing players for the Herd early in the season. He has been one of the main factors in lifting the Herd to earning the G-League’s number one offense. On the season, Tucker is averaging 20.5 points on .468/.412/.793 shooting splits. His impact on the offensive end was one of the main reasons the Herd were able to come away with the victory. His 19 points tonight landed him at third on the team in the victory over Fort Wayne.
His contributions on the defensive end also paid dividends. Tucker finished with three steals on the night. His three assists also came as a result of those steals as he was able to find players such as Lecque and Kalaitzakis for easy points in transition. Tucker has been one of the most valuable players for Wisconsin. His contributions on both ends of the floor have been one of the most important factors to the Herd’s red hot 5-0 start to the season. With the stats Tucker has put up thus far, he could be in the MVP conversation. Following an impressive performance against Fort Wayne, his MVP campaign has continued.
As the season moves on, Tucker will be one of the most important players for the Herd. If his strong performances continue, he should find himself right in the mix for the G-League MVP.
All in all, the Herd showed plenty of resiliency in their victory on Sunday night. While the 3-point shooting was concerning, the Herd made up for it in many ways en route to their fifth straight victory. Going forward, the Herd will have a week off in preparation for a home game versus the Windy City Bulls on November 29th.
Be sure to tune in to the Wisconsin Herd going forward as their perfect season continues.
