Jrue Holiday continues displaying an improved touch offensively for the Milwaukee Bucks in the win over Indiana Pacers

It has been an up and down start to the season for Jrue Holiday. The guard missed time early with an array of injuries and an illness, hindering his productivity. There was a brutal stretch of games following his return where Holiday struggled to get anything to go offensively, but it seems like he found a recipe for success in last night’s win over the Pacers.

Holiday finished with 23 points in the win, the second-most on the team behind Antetokounmpo. He shot 11-of-21 from the floor, but that might not tell the entire story as Holiday had an efficient night from inside the arc by shooting 10-of-14, but an ugly 1-of-7 from behind it. When Holiday took it inside and went into attack mode, he typically found success, having done his part to help with the paint scoring. He has had some unexplainable trouble finishing at the rim lately, but he is trying his best to clean it up. He has also been hot or cold with 3-point shooting this year, and his 1-of-7 outing certainly fits the description of the latter.

Holiday can oftentimes be a hard player to evaluate offensively because he has a game like this where he will excel in one area but struggle mightily in the other. Nevertheless, the guard had a solid outing against the Pacers, and he is likely just happy to get a win against his older brother, Justin Holiday. In addition to his prolific scoring, Holiday nearly finished with a double-double as he tallied nine assists, while also having flirted with a triple-double by grabbing seven rebounds. Even when that 3-point shot is not falling, Holiday can have a massive impact on the game. He just needs to take it inside sometimes when that outside shot will not drop.
