Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Jrue Holiday

Jrue Holiday has been up and down throughout his second season with the Bucks. Of course, he struggled to find his footing early on after he battled through injuries and had an illness, which has hindered his productivity. After a career year shooting last year, Holiday’s numbers have regressed tremendously from all over the floor. Even his free throw percentage has dipped to 68 percent on the season, a new career low. Holiday has likely been fatigued to some degree after playing in the NBA Finals and then the Olympics, which is understandable after the condensed offseason. Being sidelined with the aforementioned injuries and illness certainly did not help. It seems like Holiday will need time to get back up to par, which has been the case as of late as he is now averaging 20.3 points over his last three games. This recent spark provides some optimism that the guard can get it going and return to form.

Quarter Grade: B

Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Grayson Allen

While practically everyone thought Milwaukee’s trade for Grayson Allen this past offseason was solid, few expected him to be this good early on. The guard has blown most of his previous career bests out of the water, largely thanks to his fantastic 3-point shooting. At the time of this writing, Allen has made the fourth-most 3-pointers in the NBA at 67, trailing Steph Curry, Buddy Hield, and CJ McCollum, three of the best shooters in the game today. The guard has flourished in this new environment as he has been given the greenest light possible from long range. Although Allen’s production has taken a dip with the Bucks getting healthier, he is still playing better than ever before. Jon Horst once again shows that he has an eye for hidden talent.
